Hi! My name is Sara. I have been a qualified Maths specialist of over 11 years, GCSE Maths exam marker, numeracy champion and the Director of The active classroom Ltd.
Growing up, I experienced three different types of schooling; State, Private and Home Schooling. My parents took me out of State School in Year 3, thinking that the system was failing me and I would do better in a Private setting. However, while I was put on a long waiting list for Private School, I was Home Schooled, and surprisingly, this is where I excelled and found a love for Maths.

Home Schooled allowed me to work at my own pace, take longer when I needed support and work beyond my years on Subjects that I excelled at. My mum, who was not educated academically beyond her school years, worked hard to personalise my learning through text books and support.
​
Two decades later, I launched The active classroom Ltd, where I still swear by Personalised learning as the best method to enhance progress. I understand that Holistic teaching is important, taking consideration of the whole child, their emotional well-being, confidence levels and ability, whether that is the same as their school year, above or below.

The active classroom begun as a face-to-face service in a small village just on the outskirts of London, and has now grown to an online format personalised, holistic focused, tuition company catering to learners across the country and around the globe.

I, as the Director of my team, lead the culture of this company to focus on personalised learning and to meet the needs of all of our students, no matter what your needs, confidence levels or abilities.
